Youtubers That Don’t Rot My Brain
We all know that a good dinner is not without YouTube blaring through our screens. For myself, YouTube is pretty much my own cable T.V. on a daily basis. Of course, this causes me to run out of content quite often. So it’s always a game for me to locate new content creators I enjoy watching over and over. However, in a world of clickbait, bright colors, and the “HEY GUYS TODAY WE’RE GOING TO-”s of the internet, it’s hard to find creators that don’t rot your brain or give you the feeling that you’ve failed at life because Tarte Makeup didn’t take you on one of their insane brand trips.
I wanted to make a list of some of my all-time favorite YouTubers that I watch daily and always come back to. Perhaps you may discover a new favorite content creator too.

Caroline Winkler
Caroline Winkler is by far one of my most enjoyed YouTubers. Her content revolves around interior design as well as documenting her daily life. Her style is impeccable, with YouTube videos ranging from showcasing her design of her new shared Washington 1902 apartment to helping subscribers stylize their own spaces. The content is not just bland, sad beige decor, but a mature sense of style with charm. What I love most about her content is her personality. She is extremely personable and is a self-proclaimed parasocial watcher of content. I think she’s witty, charming, and genuinely an upfront gal. Talking about life, her experiences in dating, personal revelations, and tips and tricks on pretty much anything. Another added benefit is that her content is always filmed and edited with considerable quality, yet remains very human and down-to-earth.

Rewilding Jude
Rewilding Jude is the content creator Jude who showcases their life on their Scottish farmland. Having sold their entire life, including closing their dyed yarn business, they whisked off to the countryside after the loss of their parents for a slower life. Their content consists of their building projects, gardening, cooking, and a general vlog of their day-to-day life living on their plot of land. I appreciate the content for its soothing nature, its aspirational visuals, and Jude’s good humor and one-on-one with the camera. Jude’s jokes to the camera and witty one-liners are incredibly inviting to viewers, as you follow along their journey of rebuilding a chicken coop, dismantling a shed, and even learning how to store jams and jellies.

Kevin Lee Jacobs
If you like gentility, style, and cooking, please go watch Kevin Lee Jacobs. He is an absolute pleasure to watch for both cooking tips and recipes, but also for the general enjoyment of his class and style. He lives in an old New York home with the charm that comes with such an old property. His content features him taking care of his home, cooking and baking recipes, as well as lifestyle and shopping content. And might I just add I adore his gardens and property. He is warm, informative, and has an elegant personality with a taste for floral arrangements.

Born Blushing feels like a secret treasure of a YouTube channel. With the biggest video at 20k views, Brittany’s channel has become my undiscovered pleasure to watch. Her content centers on makeup, travel, and reflections on being a self-proclaimed “shoppaholic.” As a fellow shopper, I deeply related to her talks on shopping, its consequences, and how she now approaches shopping and obtaining a collection of beauty products in a mindful way. She posts consistently, and as a younger YouTube channel of only 3 years, her quality is exceptional and rivals that of seasoned content creators. I find her to be elegant, feminine, and friendly on her channel, with a taste for the expensive and high quality without the air of ego or bragging. I highly recommend if you enjoy exposure to some new beauty brands, genuine conversational content, as well as a taste for elegance.

Jenna Phipps
Jenna Phipps was a lifestyle and craft YouTuber turned home renovation star when she and her partner Nick went all in on a condemned mid-century home. For over 118+ episodes and counting, the couple has documented their renovation in detail. From their delays, repairs, and efforts, they practically rebuilt the home from the ground up. Having nearly finished the job on their home, Jenna is now showcasing the process of designing the interiors of their once rickety old house, now turned stunning mid-century mansion. On Sundays, I watch television with my Italian side of my family, and we adore home renovation shows. Finding Jenna’s content was an absolute gem as she’s down-to-earth, wonderfully passionate, and informative about the home renovation process from permits to ordering the dump bin. As an avid viewer, I look forward to when Jenna and Nick can enjoy their home and appreicate the effort it took to get there.
